This year Southwood Middle School is proud to present its 2008 - 2009 Teacher of The Year,  Mrs. Alma M. Haugabrook who  has strived diligently to enrich, encourage and develop model students who will positively  impact our  society.  In 2007 - 2008 Mrs. Haugabrook made the transition from being a history teacher to being a Guidance Counselor at Southwood Middle.  In this role, Mrs. Haugabrook takes pride in listening and responding to the needs of students, teachers, and parents in efforts to improve the lives of student’s intellectually, physically and emotionally.  Southwood Middle School is proud to have Mrs. Haugabrook as this year’s Teacher of The year.
